H&M Dressing Room and Holidays

Hello guys!!

Did you miss me?? Stupid question, we have one follower so probably not but anyway :)

Shout out to Carmen Priotto, our FIRST FOLLOWER WHOOP WHOOP!!

Anyway, I have recently returned from the Netherlands and that's why I haven't done any recent posts. I have a long list of posts I need to do but I am just so busy!! If you want to hear (read?) more about my holidays, check out my personal blog (skittlesandmobilephones.blogpsot.com) for the posts coming this week :)

The main purpose of this blog is to show you an epic outfit I made and where you can get one just like it!

So I'm gonna do this in steps, I'll start with the eye-opener of the outfit:

This is a turquoise skirt from H&M and I think it is the most eye-catching part of the outfit. It is very simple yet it has a certain 'umph' to it. This is great if you are curvy or have a great butt or even if you have very long legs as it will accentuate these features beautifully ;)

Now for the blouse:

This blouse goes really well with the skirt because it is loose and semi-flowy unlike the skirt, it is also patterned which draws some of the attention away from the skirt but because the colours are simple it is not too distracting.
Having it buttoned right up also balances the revealing-ness of the skirt while still showing some bare skin on the arms.

I paired this with some simple heeled court shoes:

I figured that the outfit would be too busy if I added funky shoes so these are purely functional.

Finally, I added a simple black blazer to finish the look, the blazer is definitely the priciest part of the item so if you didn't want to splurge, a simple black cardigan (not buttoned up) would work fine too.

The blazer keeps the style of the outfit and adds a slightly more professional look to it. I couldn't find a good bag on H&M dressing room (where I made this outfit) but this would be nice with a patent leather clutch or  over the shoulder long strapped bag. Nothing too chunky or cheap.

All of these items can be bought at H&M (http://www.hm.com/gb/) for the prices listed in the previous picture. I hope you enjoyed this post!

See ya later alligators!!

The Denim Dress

Dress - TK Max
Patterned Tights - Primark
Bag - H & M
Bracelets - various market stalls
Trainers - Primark
Laces (on trainers) - market stall

So this is my casual, summery outfit for the half term holidays, I love the whole dress and sneakers look. With this outfit I wanted something slightly different to the average summer dress, so I went with a denim dress and more of a 'rocky' overall look. Speaking of holidays Georgia has gone to the Netherlands! It's so beautiful there, I hope she has an amazing time. However this could mean less posts, but don't worry as we have a proper schedule organised for when she comes back so that we can both post regular blog posts.

Casual Baggy T-Shirt

Hello :)

So Georgia and I got back from our D of E expeditions yesterday but have been too tired and busy to write any posts so I'm going to do a Blog post on one of my favourite baggy t-shirts. I like this t-shirt because it's baggy but still feminine and shapely, unlike an old boys/oversized t shirt. I've paired it with similarly coloured and 'fantasy styled' jewellery to give it more of a girly look but gone with some chunky doc martins to mix it up a bit, although it would also look good with some converse sneakers. I haven't included any trousers/bottoms in this blog because personally I think that you can wear this style t-shirt with almost anything, skinny jeans, skirt and tights, shorts etc. The scruffy, 'baggy' type bag goes well with this top, it adds to the casualness and the colours going through the bag I chose in particular match very well with the top.

T-shirt - H! by Henry Holland at Debenhams

Clock Necklace - Market Stall in Brighton

So this is the t-shirt, it looks better on as it falls really nicely especially if you wear it so that the top of one of your shoulders is showing more on one side. I've tried it with quite a few bottoms, one of which was with it tucked into pair of high waisted, light denim skinny jeans, this shows off smaller waist for a less revealing but still figure flattering look. The long necklaces will help draw attention to a smaller waist.

I've also tried it with plain, black skinny jeans and a zip up hoody for more of a tom boyish look or with a denim skirt (tucked in or left out) and they also look great.

Turtle Necklace - Accessorize

Flower Bracelet - Primark

This is just a close up to show you how I've layered two necklaces to give the outfit a bit more interest. This bracelet was really cheap, I got it from Primark and it has lasted ages. I think it's a really lovely colour and goes well with the top, it has the same 'fantasy atmosphere'

Bag - Market Stall

Badges -  Various Places

I really love this outfit (sort of outfit), it's a great style to look fabulous yet still effortlessly so when rushing to leave the house but please comment your feedback below, it would be much appreciated. :)

Continuation of Georgia's Fabulosity (RE. Q&A

1. What happens on the moon, is it made of cheese, are there carnivals up there, is it a balloon graveyard??
Its purpley pink with sparkles and it is covered in bouncy castles and trampolines. Obviously.

2. What is your favourite form of transport?

I like walking quite a lot. It's very useful as you can use it pretty much anywhere.

3. Favourite colour?

Purple or turquoise. Then green. Probably. It totally depends.

4. Best memory?

Way too many to choose. I had a pretty good time in maths today, singing 'no-one cares' over and over :P

5. Why are you called Georgia?

*aggressiveness* WHY NOT?! Because my mum likes the sound of it and also she met someone called Georgia and she thought HEY! that is such a great name.

6. Tell us about your favourite school teacher? (Mention no names just tell us about it :))

In Year 2 I had this teacher called Miss Brooks (OH NO NOW THE WHOLE WORLD KNOWS. BIG WHOOP.) She was so epic and I wanted to be her. One time in Maths we were doing bar charts on car colour, she said she had a yellow car. Since then, whenever I see a yellow car I look to see if its her (just out of habit).

7. Favourite sandwich fillings?
I really like tuna mayo and sweet corn but it has to be made right.

8. Your style icon.
Me. I really don't pay any attention to fashion trends.

9. The food you are most likely to snack on when you're hungry.

Well we have pretty strict rules about snacking in our house so usually fruit.

10. The type of style you like the best.

Casual and semi-matchy matchy.

TTFN people!! Love you ;))

The Other Co-Host and RE. Q&A

Hello :)

I am the other co-host of the meow walk and I am called Ami!

Georgia's questions and my answers:

So, Ami, how old are you?
I am 14, turning 15 in October.

What do you like to do in your free time?
I love reading, writing and playing music, watching horror films, artsy stuff and reading/watching blogs/vlogs.

Favourite colour?
Of course my favourite colour is green, I mean it is the best colour, everyone loves the colour green

Best friend? ;)
I have two best friends, the fabulous Georgia and, my other friend, Will. I am very close to both of them and prefer to hang out with one or two people than a massive group.

Hopes, dreams, ambitions and all that jazz?
I don't know.... hopes, dreams and ambitions scare me a bit as I think I sometimes have really silly ones, however I love music and so I would love to write my own songs and have the confidence to play them in front of people, I also love media and editing videos and so I would love to film and edit amateur music videos when I am older.

Staple wardrobe item for you?
I have two things, one of them is my red, tartan skirt as it looks really cool and goes with almost everything and is super comfortable! My other item my friends old, green, Jack Wills cardigan/hoodie thing, as it is the thing I put on when I'm cold and when I can wear anyone to feel comfortable and 'homely'.

Best colour on you?
I'm tempted to say green, but that wouldn't be true. In actual fact the best colours on me are probably deep purple/ wine red kind of colours as I'm very pale and they look very rich against my skin colour.

Favourite book EVER?
Oh my gosh, how could I ever choose?! I absolutely love 1984 by George Orwell, I also really liked Animal Farm. However, I absolutely loved Thirteen Reasons Why by Jay Asher, and Paper Towns by John Green, so I would probably class them as my favourites right now.....
...... But my favourite book changes regularly.

Why do you want to start this blog?
I think it will be good fun, I love fashion and D.I.Y blogs and vlogs but don't think that there are enough that support individuality and wearing whatever you want over what magazines tell you is trending. I think we should be showing people how to develop their own individuality and style rather than them just copying everyone else.

If you had to choose between being chased by a hippo or a crocodile?
Ummm I would probably go for the crocodile as I watched a documentary on them once and they seemed pretty cool, if i was going to be chased by something I would want it to have awesome-ness about it.

Would you rather never speak again or say everything you think?
Definitely say everything I think, it wouldn't make much difference to how I am now and and I would be known as being a very very very honest person.

Flip flops or sneakers?
Sneakers all the way! I dislike flip-flops, the noise is just awkward.

Favourite Youtuber?
This changes quite a lot but at the minute it's probably Hailedabunny (Hai Leda Bunny) or beckie0 or perhaps Brittani Louise Taylor.

and finally.... Favourite adjective? (Mine is totally fabulous)
I have no clue! I may need to have a think about this one. :/

Now you know a bit more about me. :) I have some fabulous questions for Georgia! And then we can get onto some proper blogging.

1. What happens on the moon, is it made of cheese, are there carnivals up there, is it a balloon graveyard??
2. What is your favourite form of transport?
3. Favourite colour?
4. Best memory?
5. Why are you called Georgia?
6. Tell us about your favourite school teacher? (Mention no names just tell us about it :))
7. Favourite sandwich fillings?
8. Your style icon.
9. The food you are most likely to snack on when you're hungry.
10. The type of style you like the best.

Speak soon,
Ami :)
